In this tutorial, you will turn on **AI** for one WhatsApp account and write the **AI Role Guide / Persona**.

**Time needed:** 10 minutes

## Before you start

Make sure:

- You are logged in to Wabot.
- The WhatsApp account shows **Online**.

> This is the AI path. Do not mix it with the Keyword stairs on the same first launch.

> If WhatsApp is not connected yet, finish [Connect Your WhatsApp Account](/getting-started/connect-account) first.

## 1. Open the account

On the left menu, click **Chatbots**.

Click **Manage** on the account you will use.

## 2. Choose AI

On the instance page, open **Settings**.

Choose **AI**.

If a dialog appears, click **Confirm & Enable AI**.

## 3. Open Configure Setting

Click **Configure Setting**.

## 4. Write the persona

Find **AI Role Guide / Persona**.

Write who the bot is, what it can answer, and the language it should use. Use at least a few sentences.

> You are Siti, a staff at Kedai Raya. Reply in Bahasa Melayu. Answer only about our products, prices, and shop hours. If the customer wants a human, say a staff will reply soon.

## 5. Save the settings

Click **Save AI Settings**.

## Make sure it worked

The instance mode shows **AI**.

**Configure Setting** keeps the persona you typed.

The **Tools** tab and **AI Knowledge** section are now visible.

## If it didn’t work

### Save is blocked

The persona is too short. Add more detail, then click **Save AI Settings** again.

### I am still on Keyword

Open **Settings** and choose **AI**. Click **Confirm & Enable AI** if asked.
